Statement from Student Life on 2009 Canned Food drive
FROM THE OFFICE OF STUDENT LIFE:
Again this year, the Macon State College Office of Student Life and participating student organizations encourage you to help make the holidays a little brighter for needy families in the Middle GA area. The 2009 Harvest of Hope Canned Food Drive is under way, with all donations of non-perishable food items going to Macon Outreach, a program of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. We have partnered with Macon Outreach for a number of years and their need has never been greater. Our goal is to collect a minimum of 4000
items by December 11. Donation boxes have been placed in the following locations:
- Student Life Center
- Library
- Warner Robins Campus Oak Hall
- Warner Robins Campus Admin. Bldg.
- Arts Complex Lobby
- Jones Lobby
- PSC Starbucks
- Learning Support Bldg.
Each box has a list of suggested items as well as the participating student organizations who are competing to see who can bring in the most of their selected items, with the “winning”
organizations receiving $150, and the knowledge that they helped to make a difference in our community. Suggested items include, but are not limited to:
