As a senate chair elect and a member of SGA, AITS, MSCISSA, National Leadership Society, and gaming club member, I believe that it is everyone's duty as a student of Macon State College and soon to be Middle Georgia State College to be vigilant about what goes on here. To often do I see students who look at current issues going on within the school and show no passion for trying to help change what they see is wrong. I am asked frequently about current events and what "I" can do about it, but I never hear from the students on what "they" can do about it. I'm not sure if everyone is, as one of my professors calls it, "On the same page", but this is our school. We as students have the responsibility to voice what concerns us; and mold our school into what we not only want it to be, but what it needs to be as well. This is not High School. "Your" money, "your" parents' money, and "your" taxes are all going to this school to pay for "your" education. For the next four years or less, this will be your home. What kind of home would you live in? We may not be "Blue Storm" for very much longer, but that doesn't change the fact that we have a commitment to our school and our school has a commitment to us. Nothing can ever be changed with out knowing the problem. Speak up we are listening.
